Budgeting...Who Pays For What?
Here’s where you start your planning process. Okay, so this isn’t exactly the fun part. But
it is critical if you don’t want to start off on the wrong foot. Get together with both sets
of parents and or with whomever will be contributing. Each party should be very clear as
to what they’re willing and able to contribute.

The following chart details who traditionally pays for what. These are only suggestions, a

place to start if you will. Remember, there are no rules, just agreements.

The Bride's Family
(Yikes! This is the proverbial big nut to crack. Might as well start big!)

-The entire cost of the reception. This usually includes: food, cake, beverages, flowers, gratuities.
-Ceremony costs; rentals, fees for organists, soloist or musicians, flowers
-The Bride’s wedding attire
-Invitations, thank you’s and announcements
-Photography and Videography
-Transportation
